These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DiscountIQ, a Shopify application provided by Aapview Labs ("Aapview Labs," "we," "us," or "our").
By installing, accessing, or using DiscountIQ, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of the applicable Shopify store and agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
DiscountIQ provides tools designed to help Shopify merchants manage commerce operations including discounts, coupon codes, product pricing, scheduled promotions, promotion analytics, margin-related controls, pricing history, alerts, and related functionality.
Certain features interact directly with information and settings in your Shopify store, including product prices and Shopify discounts.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving changes made through DiscountIQ and for determining whether those changes are appropriate for your business.
2. Eligibility and authority
You may use DiscountIQ only if you have the authority to install and operate applications for the applicable Shopify store.
If you use DiscountIQ on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Shopify account and platform
DiscountIQ operates in connection with Shopify and depends on Shopify APIs, infrastructure, permissions, and services.
Your use of Shopify remains governed by your agreements with Shopify.
Aapview Labs is an independent application developer and is not responsible for the availability, operation, policies, pricing, or functionality of services provided by Shopify.
Changes made by Shopify to its APIs, platform functionality, access permissions, rate limits, plans, or policies may affect the availability or operation of DiscountIQ features.
4. App permissions
DiscountIQ requires certain Shopify API permissions to provide its functionality.
Depending on the features available to you, these permissions may allow DiscountIQ to read or modify information relating to products, pricing, discounts, orders, and other store resources.
You authorize DiscountIQ to perform actions you initiate or configure through the App using the Shopify permissions granted during installation or subsequent authorization.
We aim to request only permissions reasonably necessary to provide DiscountIQ's functionality.
5. Pricing and promotion changes
DiscountIQ can make changes to Shopify product prices, compare-at prices, discounts, coupon codes, and promotional configurations.
You acknowledge that these actions can affect prices displayed to customers and the amounts customers pay.
You are responsible for reviewing campaign settings, target products or variants, discount values, scheduling, eligibility conditions, and other configuration before activation.
DiscountIQ may provide validation, preflight checks, warnings, rollback tools, audit records, or other safeguards. These tools reduce operational risk but do not guarantee that every configuration error, conflicting Shopify setting, third-party application interaction, or external change will be detected or reversed.
You remain responsible for verifying your Shopify store after material pricing or promotion changes.
6. Scheduled operations
DiscountIQ may allow you to schedule future changes or automated operations.
Scheduled operations depend on infrastructure availability, Shopify API availability, valid App authorization, and your store remaining eligible to perform the requested action.
You should not rely on DiscountIQ as the sole mechanism for a time-critical transaction, legal obligation, inventory commitment, or other operation where a delay or failure could cause substantial harm.
7. Analytics and informational features
DiscountIQ may provide analytics relating to coupon activity, orders, promotion performance, revenue attribution, average order value, refunds, redemption behavior, and similar information.
Analytics, recommendations, alerts, anomaly signals, margin information, and other calculated outputs are provided for informational purposes.
They should not be treated as accounting, financial, tax, legal, fraud-detection, or other professional advice.
Some metrics may depend on Shopify data, attribution assumptions, available history, API limitations, or processing rules and therefore might differ from other analytics systems.
8. Anti-abuse and anomaly signals
DiscountIQ may identify patterns such as concentrated coupon use, repeated redemption activity, unusual redemption bursts, or elevated refund activity.
These indicators are intended to assist merchants in reviewing promotional activity. They do not establish that fraud, abuse, misconduct, or any other prohibited activity has occurred.
You are responsible for investigating signals and deciding what action, if any, to take.
DiscountIQ does not currently make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for individual customers.
9. Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for your Shopify store, products, prices, promotions, tax treatment, customer communications, consumer disclosures, and compliance with laws applicable to your business.
You are also responsible for maintaining appropriate Shopify account security and ensuring only authorized users can access DiscountIQ.
You must not use DiscountIQ to violate applicable law, Shopify policies, third-party rights, or these Terms.
10. Prohibited use
You may not use DiscountIQ to interfere with or disrupt the Service, attempt unauthorized access to systems or data, reverse engineer protected portions of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it, introduce malicious code, abuse Shopify or DiscountIQ APIs, circumvent technical restrictions, or use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect DiscountIQ, Shopify, merchants, customers, infrastructure providers, or other users.
11. Data and privacy
Our processing of personal information is described in the DiscountIQ Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the terms governing your use of DiscountIQ.
DiscountIQ is designed to minimize the protected customer information it processes. Current coupon-performance functionality may process Shopify customer identifiers associated with orders but does not require customer name, email address, telephone number, or postal address.

12. Data deletion and uninstall
When DiscountIQ is uninstalled, we may delete shop-scoped application data associated with the store as part of our application cleanup process.
We also process applicable Shopify privacy and shop-redaction requests.
Some information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security records, or infrastructure recovery systems until those records expire or are overwritten in accordance with applicable retention practices.
13. Third-party services
DiscountIQ relies on third-party infrastructure and platform providers, including Shopify and service providers used for application hosting, database infrastructure, security, and related operations.
We are not responsible for failures caused solely by third-party systems outside our reasonable control.
Your use of third-party products and services may also be subject to their respective agreements.
14. Availability and modifications
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue DiscountIQ features from time to time.
We may make changes to maintain security, comply with Shopify requirements or applicable law, improve performance, or develop the Service.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting normal merchant use will be communicated through the App, website, email, or another appropriate channel.
15. Fees and billing
DiscountIQ may offer free or paid features.
If paid plans or services are offered, applicable pricing, billing frequency, trial terms, and other charges will be disclosed before you accept a charge.
Charges for a Shopify App Store application will be processed through Shopify's approved billing mechanisms where required.
You are responsible for charges you authorize, subject to applicable law and Shopify billing rules.
16. Intellectual property
DiscountIQ, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Aapview Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use DiscountIQ for your internal business purposes while you have lawful access to the Service.
No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Your Shopify store information, merchant content, product information, and other data that you provide or control remain yours or your applicable rights holder's.
17. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, feedback, or ideas about DiscountIQ, you permit us to use that feedback to improve or develop our products and services without an obligation to compensate you.
We will not treat merchant confidential information as public feedback merely because it is provided during a support interaction.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DiscountIQ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Aapview Labs does not warrant that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Shopify configuration, third-party application, market, theme, or future Shopify platform change.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aapview Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, or loss of data resulting from use of or inability to use DiscountIQ.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation is prohibited by law.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aapview Labs from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of DiscountIQ, your violation of these Terms, or actions you configure through the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from Aapview Labs' own unlawful conduct.
21. Termination
You may stop using DiscountIQ at any time by uninstalling the App from Shopify.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, create security or platform risk, fail to pay applicable authorized charges, or if continued provision of the Service would violate applicable law or Shopify requirements.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective after termination.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when DiscountIQ, applicable law, our business practices, or Shopify requirements change.
The effective date at the top of this document will indicate the latest revision.
Continued use of DiscountIQ after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
23. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any rights or jurisdiction requirements that cannot legally be waived.
